振松記米粉, Puli [Taiwan]
So. We asked our driver what’s good for lunch around Puli, because we want to eat like a local. This little eatery (振松記米粉) selling rice noodles, with over 60 years of history, is where we ended up.
From the outside, the place doesn’t look like much but look closer, and you’ll notice little posters proudly proclaiming the various TV shows that have done a shoot here.
Nothing much – just foldable tables, plastic chairs and ceiling fans. As long as the food is good, the crowd will come.
First, fill up the order sheet with what you want. Then, your food will arrive shortly after.
Tadah! Our “simple” lunch which consists of rice noodles, seafood soup, minced pork rice, sausage (with garlic) and a piece of braised bean-curd.
This might not look like much but seriously, it was one of the best meals that we had in Taiwan! Springy rice noodles served with a braised egg and meat-balls are simply heavenly.
Unless you ask a local Taiwanese, chances are you’re not gonna find this place. Check out the Facebook page to grab its address at Puli, Taiwan.振松記米粉 Zhen Song Ji Bee Hoon Facebook
